which is sort of rare. He made a fresh pot of coffee and, so far, the only request has been to make yogurt today.

Going to make some soft molasses cookies and try my hand at divinity today. Like the pizzelles from my childhood, he mentioned that was a good memory of his.

Wife makes them every year. Makes them gluten free for son-in-law and they are just as good.

Maybe somewhere around 30+ years. I still have the cast iron one my grandmother used over an open flame to make them eons ago. But I'd never consider using it.

I used to make them every year and still the first several years after I married, but then sort of let it go by the wayside. Until this year. I've already made two batches and will likely make another.

I don't doubt the gluten free ones are good, having had many gluten free deserts that were indiscernible from the regular. I have a friend whose intrigued by pizzelles, but has never had them. Most of her family is gluten intolerant, so I'll also likely make a gluten free batch for them at some point next year when we can gather outdoors again.

Enjoy!

I have a cake and 2 pies to make today. I imagine I won't be putting much effort into any other cooking.

Sweet potato hash, bacon, and eggs over easy. Today I’m feeling lucky that I don’t have to leave my snug house. It’s a good day to cook.
