(35,706 posts)Life is good, cbayer. Sounds delicious and fun, too! And I enjoyed your comments the other day on the Ethiopian restaurant. Yes, it is the same as what you described.
I am hoping an impending thunderstorm doesn't interfere with my plans to meet my husband who is coming in from a trip. We are to meet at a Portuguese restaurant. I am so looking forward to this, as I was on jury duty all day. But yay, now I am through with that responsibility for 3 years!
I'm having some type of seafood--salmon, maybe. They always serve it with potatoes, potato chips (made at the restaurant), greens, rice, and oh! This fabulous salad with artichokes in it and topped with olive oil and balsamic dressing.

(146,218 posts)Portugese sounds really, really yummy, too.
I love ethnic food and get none where we currently are, so I have to resort to trying to make some myself.
Jury duty, eh? I have lived my whole life and managed to never get called.
My best wishes for your husband's timely and safe return.
Happy, happy Wednesday, Cher!

(9,791 posts)I roasted and froze a bunch of fresh tomatoes from the garden today so there's was no time to actually cook. We wiped out some hamburger barbeque and ratatouille with pasta that was hanging out in the fridge.
The fresh tomatoes are wonderful. I love this time of year!

(50,130 posts)I've only eaten one sungold (it was soooo delicious) and one yellow pear (meh) from my plants so far. Lots of green ones on the plants. Record heat tomorrow -- maybe that will help them along.
