Yesterday I made a salad of strawberries, cucumbers, a few grinds of black pepper, a squeeze of lime with some sesame seeds strewn on top. It was really refreshing and something different.
I also love cauliflower, broccoli, and green onion chopped really fine with some ranch dressing.

I made a large amount of very thick vinaigrette and am using it as a base for a variety of dressings.
Another favorite around here is just splitting an avocado and filling the middle with some dressing. Served with a spoon, there is no need to peel.

Or use beets instead of the pear.
I know a restaurant that charges $14 for this simple combo as an appetizer salad.

(1,399 posts)in a bowl with a drizzle of olive oil & balsamatic V, and maybe a little splash of sesame oil. Always with some red pepper flakes.
Sometimes I add whatever else is on hand that looks like it would fit in with little to no work, a little chopped onion and/or sweet red pepper is good.
But in a pinch just the Napa, oil and vinegar makes a good green salad on the fly.
