What's for Dinner, Mon., May 20, 2024

Shrimp & pasta in garlic butter sauce. Parsley, fresh lemon, and wine in the sauce.

I wanted to use up some of my celery crop. Wow, is it beautiful!! Consequently, I found this recipe through Cookie & Kate: Celery Salad with Dates, Almonds, and Parmesan.

Dessert: Ice cream cone 1/2 and decaf coffee.

Note: I went shopping at Trader Joe's and got a new type of chip: cassava chips. I made a dip to go with them for a snack later if I want one. Also I have "everything" bagel chips.

Tried to bake a sweet potato, but just learned propane's out; do have chix leg and thigh, from grocery.

TV reception 'handicapped,' due to interference from hedge, so no msnbc (rachel/lawrence) tonight, grumpy me; hope Amanpour will be on one of my 3 available channels. Ice cream IS available.

turned out to be very good. I would buy them over potato chips any ole' day. I had some late night but with no dip.

What do you mean about your tv reception. Your hedges actually interfere? Hedges as in hedges around the house?

Lawrence was great, again.

and trim enough of the hedge to restore reception (and my sanity!) 3 channels not quite enough (even tho I don't watch TV until PBS NewsHour.)

Missing Lawrence SO much! (DO catch him vicariously via my set of West Wing.) Feeling pretty ignorant at the moment.

If I was closer, I'd come trim them for you!

Yeah, you have to get that fixed, and soon! Lawrence is a must these days.

I also have to get my daily dose of Andrew Weissman. He is so smart.

Landlord/neighbor had planned to trim hedge, but developed intestinal bug so he's resting, and hoping to feel better soon.

stuffed with minced lamb, onions, bulgar and tomatoes. Made too much of the stuffing, so we topped the leftovers with grated cheese and warmed it up in the oven.
