Snacks before dinner on a hot summer afternoon

Just treated myself to Mediterranean black olive tapenade on Ritz crackers with chilled white wine.

Also on the list: Bruschetta on freshly baked Italian bread, lightly baked and rubbed with a clove of garlic.

Cheese plate with pita chips.

Summer might just work out.

salt, pepper, red wine vinegar soak overnight, 7 hours at 140F.... comes out perfect
