Since it's German week at Aldi, I stopped by and stocked up on the appropriate goodies:
Caramel apples
Pork Schnitzel
Sparkling Apple Cider
Apple Cider, non-sparkling
Pumpernickel bread
For tonight, I'm having pork schnitzel with applesauce.
However, first is an appetizer: pumpernickel bread, toasted and cut in fours, and topped with red pepper goat cheese and also truffle goat cheese. On top is a little scallion and a few chopped dill springs.
At some point, a salad, which will be sliced cucumber, cherry tomato, and red onion. Vinaigrette.
Kombucha: mixed with apple cider.
For dessert: half a slice of carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. A caramel apple.

(23,449 posts)I breaded and fried white chickens chunks, and dipped them in Aldi Nashville hot ranch. Used the last of the rice and made some fried rice, with veggies. Cucumber kimchee. I wish my cook (me) would do that all the time!
No dessert today

(1,994 posts)Steam-fried in evoo and veggie broth: chopped onion, sliced carrot and minced garlic. When done I added sliced mushrooms and trimmed snap peas and cooked until just done then tossed in cooked whole wheat linguine and air-fried tofu cubes. Topped with crumbled seitan bacon and vegan parmesan. Cheers!🥂
Homemade. Oil and garlic instead of tomato sauce, onion and the last of the Italian sausage, and Too Much Cheese. Seasoned with oregano and red pepper flakes.
