Posting early due to working late.I'm going to do a giant vegetable stir fry tonight when I get home from work. It will have broccoli, peppers, onion, cauliflower, snow pea pods, carrots, water chestnuts, and scallion greens. Also garlic. I am also making my Chinese brown sauce recipe for the sauce.
I can work with this over the next few days so I don't have to cook too much, since I am still under the weather. I can add shrimp or chicken. I could also add noodles on another day.
Apple cider kombucha.
Dessert: raspberries and Greek yogurt with a pumpkin cheesecake cookie. Tea.

(37,132 posts)Lol, today will be the fourth day we've eaten it, and the last. I meant to serve it once and freeze the rest, but it's so good we've finished it up, plus my wife's in chemotherapy so anything she likes to eat is good! I've served it with roasted Brussels sprouts, tomato-cucumber salad, , fried cabbage, and tonight I think I'll make a Caesar salad and some good hot buttered bread to go with the last servings. K will probably just pick at the sides, but she hoovers up the beans and ham!

The RG taught me how to look at a recipe and just make it from the ingredients, and usually just enough for that one meal. That's what I mostly do because I like to try new recipes, but not this week.

(1,992 posts)Went back to the New Mexican restaurant that opened near us. Was tasty. Cheers! 🍻
Small burger with deli mustard
Shells and cheese
Large mixed salad that included broccoli. Dressing was apple cider vinegar with salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes, a bit of Equal, dash of Texas Pete hot sauce, squirt of catsup, and the remaining mustard in the bottle it was mixed in. It certainly had some heat to it.
Ducky got to lick the cheesy glop on my plate. It wasn't much but he worked hard to get it all.
