I’m in the mood for corn mush maybe in a bowl or maybe fried with eggs.

4. Hot black coffee on a cold porch

It was 42F for a mostly cloudy sunrise. Ducky hadn't gotten up yet so I had just the bird calls for company.

Now that I'm inside and warmed up, I'll have that second mug followed by cold cereal with berries and almond milk.

5. The furnance just kicked on, 48 & cloudy I am glad I have swearpants on

I took the buttered noodles, crisped them up a bit, made a nest and dropped an egg in to cook, more cheese seemed necessary.
