I love a good cabbage roll, but I suppose I’m not sufficiently motivated (too lazy) to actually make them from scratch. Fortunately, I have a ‘cabbage roll connection’ where I can get ‘em, plus all sorts of Hungarian dishes. The chicken paprikash is sublime.

My mother made that. She mixed the ground beef and rice into meatballs.

It was the first time in at least 10 years, and it was easier than I remembered. They were wonderful.
