What's for Dinner, Tues., Election Day, Nov. 4, 2025

Posting early due to working late.

I'm stopping by WF for brown rice vinegar, so I figure I might as well pick up one of their delicious pot pies. They have them in chicken and turkey. Today is too busy to cook. I've already been through one Zoom call and two doctor checkups. And most important of all, I have to VOTE! Fortunately none of the bomb threat spots are my voting precinct.

Salad from last night. It has fresh celery from my garden, spring mix, and I cut ruffly mustard and dandelion leaves from a raised bed. Pea tendrils, which I'm growing in a container outside my office.
I've added radishes, both red and white daikon. Multi-colored pear and cherry tomatoes--even a "black" one! Red onion and also scallion greens. Persian cucumber.

Garlic croutons, which I made in the air fryer using an artisan roll.

Kombucha: ginger-blueberry.

Dessert: Tea and cocoa-hazelnut biscotti.

Baked with homemade salsa and peppers from our garden. Unfortunatly, frost got my basil already.

Angel hair pasta in garlic and butter. Yellow squash from the garden that I canned in August, with onions. The salsa was also canned then.

Glad to learn your precinct is not affected!

Just finished a furkey burger on toasted bun, with leftovet Margarita Potato from yesterday.

Enjoy!

Baked lemon chicken. Yellow rice. Steamed broccoli. Small green salad. Yogurt with honey and blueberries. Scotch nightcaps to accompany the election returns, (late dinner).

Tasted good for today.

I early voted last week, stayed home and did chores today.

I hope we get good news this evening

Broccoli-cheddar frittata

rich egg mixture, white cheddar cheese, and roasted broccoli. Served alongside seasoned, roasted potatoes.

Later, Apple Pie Bread Pudding with Whipped Cream
Sweet-tart apples, spiced with cinnamon and nutmeg, provide a warming contrast to buttery brioche, soaked and baked in a rich, creamy custard. It’s topped with whipped cream

Whole, ripe fresh pear much later

Made a big pot early this morning. The flavors marinated throughout the day. I have election night jitters… worried about the outcome of our local election for mayor. Fingers crossed. Cheers!🥂
