The end of the turkey is nigh.

I have stripped the carcass today and tomorrow the bones will become stock for turkey soup. I have a bunch of chopped bits for pot pie and soup. Plus one place for lunch tomorrow or the next day with potatoes and dressing ready to microwave.

5 nights of dinner, plus some lunches, from one major cooking spree. Not too bad a deal. It will come out to 16 meals plus from a 14 lb bird.

Red snapper head sans gills and junk for broth. Got one pound of meat. Poached cod and rock fish. Little neck clams and broth added to stock. Bay scallops and buttered lobster tail.
Salt pork and onions. Broth simmered potatoes.
Caviar on the side for the seven fishes. 20 full servings. Something about sharing good tastes.
