Why does it take 6 or more utensils to make a meal?

Is it me? Is there some primal urge to use a whip, a fork, a potato masher, a serving spoon, a strainer, 2 slotted spoons and 3 spatulas to make creamed chicken and mashed potatoes??? I'll mull it over as I wash the dishes

Personally, I wash what I’m using as I cook and reuse the items. (Unless they have had raw meat on them.)
