Related: About this forumMelted chocolate on popcorn for Valentines Weekend
https://www.runningtothekitchen.com/what-i-ate-on-valentines-day-chocolate-coconut-popcorn/My mom would as a Valentines treat make popcorn and give us Hershey kisses to eat with the warm popcorn.
A very fond memory.
So sometime this weekend I will pull out my popcorn pan to make a batch & then the double boiler to melt Ghirardelli dark chocolate chips to pour over the popcorn.
I probably will rewatch Casablanca, love found, love lost, love refound, La Marseillaise,
killing Nazis, giving your true love freedom and a friendship.
It's gonna be great!

which reminds me to go looking for some since they are only available around Valentines.
Popcorn and chocolate sounds good too!

(18,283 posts)11. I generally just pop some red hots into my mouth followed by popcorn
However, that was before microwaves 😁 I bet you could try using Jiffy Pop style. I've seen people use foil made into a pouch, add popcorn, oil, punch a hole for steam to escape, and people are adding all kinds of strange ingredients. So, I would think you could add the red hots to the pouch. However, I have never tried this, so, try at your risk, but If I can find some red hots I might try it.
