I'm planning on making Soy Sauce Fried Eggs

Start by whisking together 1 tbsp light soy sauce + 1/2 tbsp dark soy sauce (replace with light soy sauce if you prefer) + 1 tsp water + 1 tsp brown sugar/ jaggery.
Heat 1-2 tsp sesame oil/ any neutral flavoured oil of choice. Add.
- 1/2 sliced onion
- Handful of green onions
- 3-4 cloves of minced garlic
- 2-3 tsp sesame seeds
- 2-3 tsp chilli flakes (optional)
- 1-2 tbsp chilli oil (let me know if youd like the recipe)
Once fragrant (and the onions have caramelised), push them out to the edges of your pan and crack your eggs in the centre.
Once they start to cook, pour in your prepped sauce.
Serve hot over a bowl of rice, noodles or even on toast and DIVE IN! Optional: you can add a dollop of chilli oil on top too.
I'm planning on serving this over rice with my usual pot of hot tea to drink.

(43,512 posts)Creamer potato slices, fried until crispy. Pour the eggs over to make the omelette. This is said to be Greta Garbo's favorite omelette.
Lettuce greens as a side.
Iris, your recipe sounds good. Might try it.
Re rain, did you and Loretta get the garden planted?

(43,239 posts)and carrots. They're saying we have a good chance for frost this weekend. Loretta found several volunteer squash plants growing in the compost pile. She dug those up, and planted them in the garden. I guess will find out what type of squash they are. (I think they're pumpkin)
