Oh...the celebration continues...Hot diggity dawg we won hot dogs...

prepared ala Pollock Johnny's, which is a bit more prep work than I was expecting, but here goes:

Dice one small or medium onion, if medium portion in halves

Dice a small bell pepper

one small can of diced tomatoes, partially drained

hot sauce to taste

s/p , I threw in a minced garlic clove because that's how I roll

Sauce:
~Throw some EVOO in the pan, add the onions and saute for a few minutes, until softened
~add the garlic, and continue for another minute or two
~add your peppers and keep going
~throw in the tomatoes, reduce heat and simmer until it becomes like a thickened 'gravy'
~add hot sauce to taste (you can do this with the tomatoes or after

Dogs:
~cut, or, rather, score, those bad boys on both sides
~Throw them in a hot pan and brown to your liking

If you portioned out some onions for serving, in case anybody wants them, set them out in a bowl, along with some relish (I cut up gherkins because that's what the Obamas do) all the other diggity dawg standards (ketchup, mustard) and, of course, your sauce.

Enjoy!
