I've got a couple of pounds of boneless pork thawed and it could go

with pork and pineapple
stir fried pork and baby bok choy or
pork chop-seuy with bean sprouts and mushrooms

am going to take house hold consensus in a few minutes

consensus went to pork and pineapple with rice

Laid back afternoon. All sorts of food & drink. Most everyone brought a guest, their kids, their dogs, etc. Highlights - local strawberries picked yesterday (good crop this year), bbq'd hearts of romaine, roasted chilies, kale salad, waldorf salad, bacon wrapped brats, lime marinated steak, vegan burgers, quick grilled watermelon slices w/mint.

Interesting mix - 5 or 6 of the group eat a vegan diet, one holds kosher food standards, and the kids had hot dogs. I had the steak - my contribution - plus all of the rest as we sampled the food spread. Really nice time.

I cooked it with mushrooms, onions, sweet peppers and tomato. Corn on the side. Strawberries (not local, ha!) a bit later.

I made a pretty salad: grated beets, grated daikon, and grated carrot. They are laid out in three rows. Then the dressing (made with Chinese five-spice) is poured over it and topped with toasted sesame seed.

Cold poached salmon with sauce.

Mixed vegetables in garlic sauce: carrots, cauliflower.

Watermelon with feta cheese.
