Man, what a season so far for mushrooms!

Ever since Labor day, my buddy and I have been out at least once a week, and we've been knocking 'em dead.. Lobsters, Chanterelles, Zeller's Boletes, King Boletes, Bleeding Milkcaps.. dehydrators are working overtime... this is my last haul from Saturday (and he had probably twice as much as me)

Mushrooms Demystified is probably the gold standard, and "All that the rain promises" is another must-have. I also have one called "Mushrooming without fear" that's invaluable. Also, there should be an Audobon guide specific to whichever region you live in which is handy,

David recounts a story about me in the book so I made the index.

The season is just awesome in the PNW this season too.
