i may pull them out and have them with mashers.
edit: didn't get around to pulling the steaks, so i'm doing a late lunch/early dinner of rice and beans. rice is in the cooker with a can of diced toms and some chili mix and i'll heat a can of black beans once the rice is ready.

On edit: Korean food! He stopped at the Korean market in Ft. Lee and I see all kinds of things--beef for stir fry, dumplings, shredded scallions. And oh! My favorite, those little green peppers for stir fry. I also see three bottles of wine. Our guest is coming. This will be fun!
Plus an bag of assorted gourmet goodies for me--must have gotten at some food show or something. And a bag of cosmetics, too. Feels like Christmas around here.

either meatloaf or chicken
Both of us made meatloaves! The resident gourmand made his while visiting his son in MA, I made mine a day or two ago.
So maybe we'll just forget the meatloaf plan and have chicken breasts and pasta.
Resident Gourmand is heading this way but has to leave tomorrow for Mexico. I think that's the plan, anyway.
We might have a guest tonight.
I experimented with two other dishes today: apple crepes and breaded zucchini and onions with sauces. Both turned out to be very delicious.
I think I'll do crepes more often, now that I know how easy they are.

Next trip there I plan to pick up some bean sprout kimchee.
