Made a cake in 2 minutes again...

1 box Angel Food cake mix (the just add water kind - already has the eggs, etc in it)
1 box some other cake mix you like (we are on German Chocolate now, Red works well too)

Mix them together in a plastic bag, seal and keep dry. (It lasts a long time)

When you want a cake put two tablespoons of this mix in a coffee cup, 3 tablespoons of water, stir well (I usually add some walnuts).

Microwave 40 seconds to 1 minute - experiment with yours as power varies.

It may rise up out of the cup a 1/2" or so, but it shouldn't run over unless you put too much in.

Take it out, push it in from the sides a little inside the cup, maybe push your spoon into the center - make sure it is done.

Leave it in the cup add some icing to the top.

Balance that and your cup of coffee as you make your way back to the desk, because you KNOW someone was wrong on the Internet.

Enjoy!

meaning to try this recipe. My sister did and said it was good, although a little bland. Think she used chocolate for second mix but she said she was going to put a couple of chocolate chips in next time.
I never heard how it was so she probably
forgot lol

it by itself.

You can choose nearly any cake mix to pair with the angel food, I expect, until you find one you like. If you don't have a lot of time, or like to spend it cooking other things, this is an easy quick way to get something sweet.

I came across one the other day where they made the whole thing from scratch, and cooked it in a cup like that, but that's too much trouble and time for me. If I was going that far I'd make a big cake

think the German Chocolate one would
be really good.
I might try a Lemon cake mix or a Pineapple Upside Down cake mix.
I saw another recipe (but 9x13 size) that is easy. I'm about to try it and if it's any good I'll be sure to post it.

This is one my mother-in-law called Wacky Chocolate Cake

3 C flour
1 1/2 C sugar
2 tsp baking soda
3/4 C canola oil
2 tsp vanilla
3 squares bitter chocolate, melted
2 C warm water

Sift together dry ingredients; place in ungreased 13x10x2 baking dish. Mix together last 4 ingredients, make 3 indentations in dry ingredients and add, mixing well. Bake 30 min. at 350. Frost with melted chocolate chips if you like.

I make mug cakes all the time, but from scratch
because
it never occurred to me to use a mix!!!
A mix would have less oil than the mug recipe I use.

So, will get a white cake mix, and for choc. all I have to do is add cocoa, a teeny bit more water, I would think.
Yummers!!......
