A couple of days ago, I made a cheeseburger pie. It's delicious and it feeds us for several dinners.

Tonight, we'll be having the second dinner from it, and I'll probably make a big tossed green salad to go with it.

LOL - A backward menu. Local market used to carry excellent homemade baklava, but the growth of a family put that on a back burner.

Went by today and they are back! So, it's spicy lentils, hummus, flat bread, olives, cherry tomatoes and the end of my watermelon.

I got it right this time, unlike the first time.

Used far less pepper, a bit more salt, more flour, and beef broth. The gravy actually tastes like gravy, and the pepper isn't overpowering everything. Gravy's still a bit thin, but it's an hour til I take some over to the parents, and an hour and a half probably til we eat here.

For roasted beet, toasted pecan, and blue cheese crumbles over romaine and red and green lettuce.

I have some beets roasting in sesame oil and others roasting in olive oil.

I didn't finish my cannellinis the other day, so they, too, are in the oven warming up along with some roast pork.

Yeah, I'm still making the dutch oven bread. One 2 lb loaf a week.

with a veggie fried rice. Who knows, maybe an egg roll too.

The sauce is: hoisin and oyster sauces, chili-garlic sauce, sesame oil, soy sauce, green onions and ginger. I reserve a little extra so that once baked, I toss them again in the sauce. Bring lots of napkins!

stir fried sugar snap peas and edamame, with "lunchbox" variety little red bell peppers that I grew in a pot. Their flavor is really good.

beautiful peaches from farmers market -- the variety is "O'Henry".
