We are going to an unusual Mexican restaurant that specializes in serving local products in original ways.

Should be fun!

How about you?

I'll be making a cauliflower pizza crust, which I'm starting right now! I think it will be an "everything" pizza, with ground beef, kalamata olives, green and red pepper, and ANCHOVIES, which I love on a pizza. Lots of mozzarella, too.

Also a salad, which is already made.

Then I will settle in for my Friday night crime shows, Dateline and 20/20, sip on a Negra Modelo and have myself a good 'ole time!

Tomorrow starts the whole family gathering. A dozen or more for dinner Sat. night. My brother and I are side cooks.

Tonight, stuffed the hen with rice, figs, and almonds. Glazed it with honey, lemon and black pepper to finish. The rest basic - asparagus and potato, black pepper, butter and sour cream.

It was cool to have time for he and I to simply hang together for a day. We click in a way that's really easy going.

That chicken sounds outrageous! Very original.

I have a relationship with my brother that's like that. We could spend all kinds of time together. I love it when we can hang around together for days at a time.

It sounds like you two have much to look forward to in the coming days.

Local fat chickens are on sale and I love to have the leftovers. Tarragon butter, sea salt, and roasted russets in the same pan.

Steamed zucchini with parm and crumbs and EVO.

Sliced farmers market peaches w brown sugar, grated fresh ginger, and cream.
