Keeping that half of the avocado green...A New Method!

I admit to rarely having this problem as we scarf those things down as soon as we cut them...but this was a new method I had never seen before. Store your half an avocado with onion! Anyone try this?

Ah, the beautiful onion. Is there nothing this wonderful veggie can't do? nt valerief Oct 2014 #2
I just learned today that it's ok to freeze them, too. PeaceNikki Oct 2014 #3
I just remove a very thin slice of the avocado and that gets rid of the brown. blackcrowflies Oct 2014 #4

but like you, once it's cut, its used!

Thanks for reminder: Have some guacamole left from yesterday (brought in from Moe's nearby, for party, and in closed container) and I'll finish it later!

Which is awesome. I've been doing the Nutribullet every day and learning to prep and freeze once every weekend or 2. My staples are: kale, beets, carrots, lemons, and limes. Then I use whatever additional fruits/veggies that are on sale. This week I got grapes, peaches and strawberries and grabbed 4 avacados that were 2 for $1!!
