Chockadoodles!

This is a riff on Snickerdoodles and my family loves it. Made a batch of 50 on Sunday and have less than a dozen today. The rest will be gone this afternoon when school is out.

Wet ingredients:
3/4 C sugar
1/2 C butter at room temp
1 Egg
1/2 Tsp vanilla

Dry ingredients:
1 1/4 C AP flour
1/4 C cocoa powder
About a cup chopped pecans
1/4 Tsp each Salt, Baking Powder and Cream of Tarter.

Preheat oven to 375 f.

Beat wet ingredients to smooth and fluffy.

Mix all dry ingredients and add to wet ingredients by thirds, mixing as you go.

Form into 1 inch balls and roll in granulated sugar.

Place on baking sheet lined with parchment paper or silicone mat leaving an inch or so apart and slightly flatten each ball. Makes 40-50 cookies.

Bake at 375 f for 10 minutes. Cool and stand guard or not depending on your circumstances.
