Might be a vegetarian day, where I just fix vegetarian dishes all day long. I tend to do this in the summer, but since I have some lovely, fresh vegetables from shopping on Friday, I see no reason to not get a jump on my practice today.
I have three beautiful zucchini. The RG has taken on a new product line, which is an Italian company that makes pestos and sauces. I have some of their sauces to play around with, and he gave me a suggestions for them using it, so that might be my first dish.
I also have some cold soups and salads I want to make. Fresh blackberries! All kinds of yogurts!
Already this morning, I've made a big pot of tea from my fresh lemon balm, and iced coffee for the first part of the week.

(2,016 posts)It's only 9:30 am here, but I just made a mac salad to go with. (I was eyeing it for breakfast, but I decided otherwise. )
I'll roast some Brussels spouts in the oven with garlic/olive oil. Then drizzle with honey when they come out.
(Is it too early for dinner? I'm hungry!)

(146,218 posts)Cooking for picky children is a challenge, but so far, so good. The parental units are very happy.
What kinds of sauces are included in the new line?
Have you ever made cold fruit soups? Yum!
Enjoy your veggie day.

We haven't had any rain for over 3 weeks, and our garden is drying up before it even got started. Praying for rain...
