And it will be fun for a baseball lover, as I know you are.

I'm going to have some more of those drumsticks I made the other night--the fiery Asian ones. It was such a good recipe that I went out and bought another round of drumsticks, still on special at WF. There was plenty of sauce to baste them with, so it will be easy to make.

Coleslaw with pineapple and toasted almonds or maybe my rosti recipe. One or the other, but not both. Too much work to do both, and I'm focusing on my garden today.

Now back to planting elephant ears, or colcasia.

I got called into work this morning, and forgot to pull something out of the freezer. However, I know I have a leftover chicken breast in the fridge (chicken enchiladas?) and some shrimp in the freezer (shrimp fajitas?). Defrosting the shrimp should be quick, so it is either/or. I guess I'll decide when I get off the mountain. That is, if I can get off the mountain - the fog is so thick, the visibility is like, 50 feet!

on whole wheat toast. Prep time 5 min., cooking time 8 minutes. I recommend Adams crunchy and extra cayenne to enliven the curry.

....so it's pizza and salad. Busy busy here too, but our weather for the weekend is disappointing. Chilly and cloudy. The river, which would normally be full of speedboats and skiers and paddlers on a holiday weekend, is quiet and deep deep green. The other day a friend and I were down on the private rocky beach and I brought home a couple of bumpy rocks, and the little tabby cat has been LICKING them non-stop! She holds them up in her little monkey paws and licks them. Can't figure that out. Mineral deficiency?

Looking forward to farmers market in the morning, and big cousin get-together for supper. Love my cousins.

on toasted French, hollowed out in the middle so I can stuff more feta, onion and kale in there, and my ridiculous snack, cottage cheese with soy sauce on the side. The turkey was boring, but the sliced onion, kale, feta and balsamic vinaigrette I drizzled on it made up for it (I ended up tossing most of the turkey - some old roast sliced ickyness).

Other than the turkey, it was delicious, filling and fairly good for me, I'd think.
