This was my fair entry this year. I adapted sweetpolitica's asparagus cake by making my ribbon from fondant.

It's so real looking I can't tell.

8. Yes, fondant and shaded with dusting powders. Took about 30 hours to make 47 whole

spears and 137 'tips'.
