"But if we took the bones out...."

Someone has finally developed a credible recipe for frogless Crunchy Frog. I might have to try it one of these days: http://www.evilmadscientist.com/2009/but-if-we-took-the-bones-out/

1. Another version, with pretzel sticks, but requiring a frog mold, here:

Apparently, more than one candy shop has sold "crunchy frog" chocolates. I remember seeing them listed at the Web site of a store in TN a few years back but can't find them now.

I would think the Cockroach Cluster would be worth trying as well.

2. Pretzeks? Yuck. I think the Pop Rocks in this one are pure genius

I wish we could give this stuff out on Halloween, kids would adore it. Alas, we live in untrusting times.

3. I love yogurt-coated pretzels. Should have used chow mein noodles, though.

Google "haystacks recipe" sometime to see why.
