(7,632 posts)Made a big batch of chowder today. Froze most of it. Winter weather is uncertain in my neck of the woods. If I lose power, I can defrost something and heat it up in a cast iron pan in the fireplace. Back to basics!
Thinking of everyone in the mid-Atlantic as the storm hits. Hope all goes well and you are not stuck like we in NE were last year.
Had so much snow, I couldn't open my doors to get out and shovel. Had food in the freezer but we never lost power. I can always heat a can of soup but I stocked up on cat food. Kitty would not understand if I could not get to the store.

(6,133 posts)I bought from Costco red lobster biscuit mix. My daughter helped me with dinner and made them. Everything you need is in the box, almost. But I do not like them. I have never been to red lobster, but my son who has, said they tasted exactly like them.
Tomorrow, well today but later, I have to pick up the demon shovel and push away the snow.
I will do something with boneless chicken breasts because I need to freeze the excess...one of those big packs you know. "What's for dinner" will know later what I decided to do.
