But we have an excellent start on the 2016 crop. We're also having new potatoes from the Amish farmers on Hwy 411, Delano, TN. Yellow summer squash straight from the garden, sauteed with Vidalia onions and butter. Green beans from my SIL's garden. Cucumbers from the garden in vinegar, sour cream, sugar, green onion and caraway seed. Sliced Cherokee purple tomato from the Amish farmers...I'm in heaven.

Just reading about it.

I won't be able to have this produce for a while, but our farmer's markets have started up. Because NJ, at least where I live, is so densely populated, there is one almost every day within driving distance.

I love yellow zucchini. I can't wait to get my hands on one of them, and saute it up with the Vidalias in butter, like you described.
