(111,174 posts)While the pancake is cooking, simmer some peeled, chopped apples with butter, sugar and cinnamon. Take the pancake out and pour the apples into the middle. Fold it over, sift confectioners' sugar on the top, and you've got the best brunch food ever.

(10,201 posts)A ton of steel cut oats, some flax seeds, small dice some apples, raisins, some cinnamon, nutmeg, and all spice. A bunch of water, and splash of white wine, then put that sucker on low over night. As folks wake up, they can just ladle a bowl... I leave out some syrup, granola, etc...
This way I can over indulge and not have to worry about feeding folks. And folks can just wake up when they feel like it and not miss breakfast. I used to go all out for a Christmas brunch, but that was too much work.
