I'm making another recipe from the NY Times' list of 50 Best Recipes of 2016 that elleng posted. This one is flattened chicken thighs with roasted lemon slices.

I have some roasted vegetables that are left over, so I'll heat them up.

And a kale salad with tangerines and toasted almonds.

1. Last of the Christmas leftovers. Turkey & dressing. A bit of

of leftover smoked pork. Mixed sauteed greens. Mashed sweet potatoes. Speckled butter beans. Cherry tomato salad.

2. Soup

Some of the leftover turkey noodle soup.
Fruit, cheese, and crackers.

3. Oyster chicken wings

Yeah, Pop wanted to go back to the Chinese restaurant tonight. Who am I to argue?

Wings, veggie chow mein, and pork fried rice. The waitress was flabbergasted when I ordered the wings. (In 45 years of going there, I never ordered anything else besides the BBQ pork combo.) The look in her eyes - like a deer in the headlights. Heh heh! Yeah, she's worked there that long...

Refried beans

sour cream, shredded cheddar, cilantro, ghost pepper salsa on the side...
