'Heres a plan of action that works for dinner any night of the week: Melt some butter; bubble in some minced garlic, herbs, spices and a squirt of lemon; then pour it over whatever you have your heart set on eating. With almost no effort, youll have a sauce that makes anything taste better.
It works on chicken. It works on steak. It even works on all those beets and turnips you couldnt quite figure out what to do with.'>>>

(5,111 posts)Very easy and versatile. I never know what to do with fish. I also bookmarked your braising post. I'm going to have to see what else you've posted.

For 1 lb. Chicken breasts:
6 T butter, melted
Juice of one or two lemons
1 T dill weed
1 t granulated onion
3 cloves garlic, crushed
1 t garlic salt
1/2 t lemon pepper
Reserve some for basting, if desired.
Score or butterfly as needed, marinate for at least 1 hour, then grill.
