What's for Dinner, Wed., Apr. 4, 2018

It's starting to warm up here, but I still feel like I want cold-weather food, so here's the dinner for tonight:

Salad: barley, lightly steamed haricots verte, and cremini mushrooms. Dressing is olive oil and balsamic.

Main course: veal stew.

Dessert: Carrot cake and a little vanilla ice cream. Spicy vanilla chai hot tea.

We had this for the first time last summer when we were in Ireland.

It's cold and windy in the Catskills so a fire and some comfort food will be yummy.

As always, I love your salads, NJCher!

The cold and wind today made it feel like January.

I'm cooking a big pot of ham and bean soup and will make skillet corn bread a little bit later.

Breyers' chocolate ice cream for dessert.

With celery, onion and cabbage. Wished for some cashews but didn’t have them.
Rice and tea to go with.
