What's for Dinner, Sun., May 6, 2018

Asian salad, greens, bok choy, peanuts, celery, scallion, cucumber.

I slice the baby bok choy and cook it in orange juice and sesame oil. After it cools, I add it to the salad. I dress the salad with mirin and sesame oil.

This is one of my favorite salads and I was happy to be able to make it using greens from the garden.

Next up are some avocados. Not sure how I'm going to fix them. Searching for ideas.

By special request - It's my brother in laws BD - there is a giant pot of chili on the stove. Dinner guests are bringing their favorite sides. All I need is a beer.

I'll be doing some kind of baked tofu over zucchini noodles & other veggies. Not sure about the sauce yet

We were working yesterday so we're having our party tonight.

Strawberry Margueritas.

Homemade tortilla chips with salsa and guacamole.

More Margueritas.

Hard shell beef tacos, medium spiciness. Chicken burritos with Jack cheese.

Another round of Margueritas.

Fresh fruit and lime sorbet.

Fortunately, I don't have to be at work until late tomorrow morning!

Homemade clear chicken broth, the right combos of heat, sweet, soy, lemongrass, ginger umami laced with some scallion/sesame oil, lightly charred Asian veggies. Giant bowls, lots of slurping delicious noodles, which were a mix of rice noodles and spiralized zucchini.
