What's for Dinner, Sat., June 2, 2018

We received some new chairs for the dining room, so I am looking forward to tonight's meal, which will be:

--chicken liver pate on baguette slices
This is being brought by our dinner guest, and comes from some French place in Battery Park.

--mezzi rigatoni (1/2 the size of regular rigatoni) with tomato sauce and sausage. Might be spicy, might be creamy. The RG says he hasn't made up his mind yet.

--salad will be mixed greens from my garden with toasted walnuts, tangerine slices, and Grey squash and carrots, spiralized.

Wine, of course.

Chocolate cookies for dessert.

The new chairs are a gift from my decorator friend. They look like they are from a castle! They have high backs and are quite ornate. In addition, they are upholstered and have lots of padding, i.e., very comfortable. Our other ones weren't comfortable, so I r-e-a-l-l-y appreciate the new ones.

Since she chose the colors for the dining room, she knew what color to order for the upholstery, yet it's a very unusual color--sort of a peach-burgundy. We have four French doors in the living room, two on each side, and both open out to gardens. I really like to hear the sounds of the night while dining.

I can't wait to invite her over for dinner so she can experience the all-new comfy dining experience!

Last night I was too tired from gardening to stay up, but the RG and our guest talked until 1 a.m.
