Hey y'all...question about slow cooker recipe

I picked up a recipe for Creole pork with red beans...

I have all the ingredients but my slow-cooker is in a storage shed in Texas.

Recipe is for a slow cooker...

I want to cook this anyway. I have access to an electric range and oven.

Was thinking of just putting all the ingredients in a cast-iron pot with a lid and putting the pot in the oven at 250F for 5 hours...

Recipe reads...

Cook on HIGH for 2–3 hours (or LOW for 4–6 hours) and until pork is 185°F for the most tender results.

Thought it would be about 5 hours.

I'll toss it all together and put it in the oven.

Appreciate your help.

It would probably be good on rice, too. Yumm . . . I love Cajun cooking.

Hopefully tomorrow.
