It's cold here, and even though it says it's 56 degrees, it still feels cold out. I have to work outside for the next two hours, too. Tonight, therefore, will be a Mollie Katzen recipe: Hungarian Mushroom Soup. See link in next post (Thanks Yonnie!).
The RG's in Italy, so this be my own project. Whenever he's around, he has to give me his two cents worth. Which can be great (most of the time).

(17,516 posts)I think yours has some extra characters at the end.
Off to look at the soup ...
Edit: That looks good. The paprika adds a nice color. My sister would bring back paprika from Hungary. It was quite different than what I bought in the local grocery.

(17,516 posts)I got some ground beef from the little store's butcher today.
The cheese, will be to order as we have several kinds. We have tomatoes, lettuces and onion to top them.
Cabbage and carrot slaw as a side.
Strawberries and other fruits to follow.
FLFC is once again sound asleep as I write this. It is a work night for TJ so shhh ...
I am sure he will approve of the cheeseburger (please no garden stuff, dad, and hold the bun).

(22,069 posts)My son is going to visit tonight and since Sunday is a bad day for me to party, we're going with the Third of May party.
Chicken fajitas pan-grilled with green and red peppers and onion.
Homemade salsa with cilantro.
Yellow rice with red beans.
Simple lettuce salad with tomatoes and black olives.
Lagunitas DogTown pale ale and shots of tequila.

(1,711 posts)tomato, bacon and cheese on toast. My week's menus run Friday-Thursday and originally I'd planned vegetarian chili for Thursday and red beans and rice on Friday. That seemed like too many beans too close together, so I went with something simple that everybody loves.

(55,031 posts)it has been ages. fish, tartar sauce, really good fries, and gross cole slaw with pineapple in it. I get a side salad and the husband has to eat my slaw.. haven't had iceberg lettuce and super gelatinous Italian dressing in a LOOOOOOONNNGGG time. it was surprisingly tasty, but kinda gross to look at. oh, and had a Peroni lager (local pizza place has stepped up in the beer dept. LOL)

(22,228 posts)Raining here today, so it's going to be a mudder's track. If I'd had time, I would have made Derby Pie.
But we'll have broiled pork chops, steamed veges, and probably brown rice with mushrooms. For desert, Key Lime pie (no, I didn't make it, but it is my fave).
