I got all my chores done earlier today so I could play golf this afternoon. The local course has a special on Wednesdays and Sundays: Greens fees @30% off and a coupon for a free lunch. At 4:30, I had a pastrami Reuben sandwich with cole slaw, potatoe salad (very clean w/o mayo) and a couple of beers.

Dessert will be an apple and a brandy on the deck with a fire in the keva.

I love it here in the Catskills. The air is fresh and it's so quiet... except for when the freight train rumbles long the river valley. Then you can hear it for about 15 minutes due to the echo of the surrounding mountains. Still, it's a mile away so it's kind of rustic.

No freight trains around here. Do you know what they haul? What type of rail cars?
