Cacio e pepe unto. Anyway, that's what I was told when I asked. I think it's pasta with peccorino.

A taco shell (but not the kind you usually think of--this one is shaped like an oval bowl) filled with guacamole and tomatoes.

A slice of ciabatta with grilled squash and zucchini on it. The bread was drizzled with olive oil and garlic.

Dessert: sliced pears and dark chocolate.

1. "Cacio e Pepe" means "cheese and pepper"

in several central Italian dialects. As the name suggests, the ingredients of the dish are very simple and include only black pepper, Pecorino Romano cheese, and pasta.

2. Roast Chicken tenders with zucchini, eggplant, carrot and yellow squash...also corn

on the cop...I sauteed the veg in a small amount of oil with just salt and pepper...tastes really good. Apple with a little bit of peanut butter dressing and for dessert...not sure.

3. Penne pasta

Salad from my garden: red romaine, leaf, and salad bowl lettuce, sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion

Some pinot noir left over from the weekend.

4. Hot and sour soup

Not feeling like cooking tonight so got some take out.

5. Meatless Monday

Pasta bake with tofurky Italian 'sausage' cut into coins, tomatoes, garlic, onions, bowtie pasta, peppers. Decafe cikd tea.

6. leftovers

We had plenty of chicken and potatoes left from last night.

I steamed some carrots and yellow squash to go on the plate. I put a smashed clove of garlic and some lemon zest in the steaming water. The aromatics were subtle, but I really liked them.

7. wangs

aka wings ... i traveled all over town trying wings at any establishment that offered them at least once, a few return visit to check on consistency...
finally gave up and just did my own... beats them all and at about 1/4 the price
brine 'em, slather with favorite bbq sauce and hot sauce, onto the grill with some hickory chips for smoke...
fantastic... got a new yogurt based hatch chili cilantro lime dipping for my
sauce for tonite ...

9. Tex-mex style tacos

In hard shells with shredded lettuce, tomatoes, onions and cheese - pinto beans and tortilla chips with queso.

12. kind of missed dinner

had a meeting and was too beat to even get the salad and burger patty son made out of the fridge so grabbed the last piece of pizza from yesterday. going to bed in a minute...
