What's for Dinner, Mon., Sept. 23, 2019

Vichyssoise.

Cold plate made up of pates and French cheese.

Grilled romaine with chicken. The grilled romaine has balsamic in the dressing.

I asked for some type of lemony dessert. Not sure what will result.

It's baking now.

Finally using up the last of the ham I bought some months ago.

There is a downside of living alone when it comes to finishing up food.

It’s my late husband’s birthday and my son is out of town, so I’m feeling rather sad and lonely and will eventually take myself out to eat. Probably Panera.

over the weekend football game days..O-H! for the Brownies!...so tonight going lots more simple - corned beef hash and over-easy eggs; avocado salad; day-old brownies for dessert as we continue to binge Outlander instead of Monday night football. LOL!

My favorite grocery store had some gorgeous okra so I got the other things for this marvelous dish.
Both kinds of summer squash, red bell pepper, onion, garlic, celery, carrots and cajun spices with some extra cayenne. Shake on some Worcestershire sauce.

Served over brown rice.

You can make it with chicken, pork or beef cut up into bits. I have found the andouille is best.

eat the pate and cheese plate and share a salad...and follow up with Creme Brulee...no entree. The restaurant makes their own pate and some of the cheese too...so good. Your menu sounds divine.
