It actually looks pretty easy too. Hardest part seems to be the scooping out of the apple without breaking the skin.
I am so gonna try this for Easter!

(111,245 posts)which is generally done for one of two reasons: first, if there are picky kids who need to be conned into eating something besides cookies and second, if you're throwing a dinner party and want to distract your guests from the fact that you didn't splurge on lobster or prime rib.
I save myself the effort and just do the damned pie. The local Pueblo restaurant does apple pie with a cornbread crust that is to die for. I'll be in heaven when I figure that one out.
