(9,825 posts)We lived in the mtns. of western NC and had about 32" of snow over 24 hrs. My husband made coffee on the propane grill. I tried to cook oatmeal over a candle in our chafing dish, but it never go hot enough to boil. Fortunately we had plenty of food, juice, water, kerosene to tide us over for the 3 or 4 days it took to get thru with no electricity. We were connected to a well which functioned on electricity, but we were connected to a municipal sewer system, so we were very fortunate. Everything ran downhill!

Cup of ginger tea, made from grated ginger. No tea bags here anymore.
Irisblue, cauliflower muffins are riced cauliflower, a cup of cheddar, Italian seasonings, onion, and egg to hold it together. Put them in a cupcake/muffin liner to bake in the tin.
