The Landlady(!) texted me earlier today to not have a big lunch because she was planning something special.

I'll let you know...

From last night. Had a guest, too. He is a bachelor so was very appreciative of my home cooking. Though I did use a lot of shortcuts due to the wrist recovery.

Shepherd Pie
Kale, golden beet, kohlrabi and cabbage salad/slaw with raisins and walnuts. Bottled Strawberry dressing added a half hr prior to serving to marinate.

Homemade pumpkin pie with whipped cream for dessert. Pie night at my house. 😛
Made two so still have some for tonight.

yum, I want to try that salad. I even have a kohlrabi in the frig (grew it myself!) but the golden beet went on my shopping list.

This was a bagged organic mix because I can’t peel, chop, or cut well yet.
The dressing was bolthouse farms strawberry poppyseed.

If I would have have had Craisins I would have used those over raisins. I like em better.

pumpkin with a bit of whipped topping...and for a snack...fun size butterfingers. Water to drink. Oh I also made gravy...cooked the roast in the instapot so the gravy was terrific.
