What's for Dinner, Tues., Dec. 3, 2019

Pork meatballs in vegetable sauce with carrots and potatoes. The RG made these, and it's a variation of what he did yesterday. Completely different taste, though.

I made a salad with roasted broccoli, cranberries (dried) into which I put in orange juice, bacon cut into little bits, sliced red onion, mandarin oranges, and chopped mushrooms. It had a cooked dressing which is now cooling. It's kinda' sweet--had cider vinegar, a couple eggs, and honey in it.

Dessert is tea biscuits with melted chocolate on them; then a ginger star to decorate it. Hot ginger tea, too.

The Landlady(!) was inspired during the snowstorm the other day to make soup. She opted for navy beans with ham, celery, carrots and onions spiced with thyme, salt and pepper.

I'll pick up some fresh bread on the way home. Then I'll make a simple green salad to go with the soup.

I find myself all alone with TJ and FLFC snoozing. With no input I decided on soup.

I'm making soup from stock (made yesterday with the remnants of Sunday's turkey breast), carrots, celery, onion, rice, garlic, thyme, sage, salt, and pepper ... and of course turkey.

I'll have a bowl shortly. It smells so good I can't wait.

Al's son "made" it. (Sauce from a jar. Oh well, I didn't have to cook or do dishes.)
