What's for Dinner, Fri., Jan. 24, 2020

Roasted fish on a sheet pan, along with vegetables (carrots, parsnips, leeks). Potatoes made separately--very different. I think he used a little crema Mexicana and his prize olive oil of the month. All this is covered with thyme.

Shortbread cookies with orange preserves as the dessert.

Plus canned tomatoes, onion, garlic, carrots, green beans, cauliflower, sweet potato, yellow peppers, spinach, kidney beans and a huge dollop of Huy Fong chili garlic sauce.
Enough to freeze for several meals.
Garlic bread
Hot decafe tea

Raining and chilly, soup is a good choice

FLFC will be offered the last cheeseburger slider, chuck short rib, and hot dog as well as traditional dog food. I don't know what he will eat.

Had lunch out at Iris in the NC Museum of Art. A great place for lunch. Really enjoyed the vegan gumbo. While it included vegan sausage, that was not required. Just a great flavor overall.

BTW Last weekend for Frida Kahlo, Diego Rivera exhibit.

So we ate it with hot dogs. I wish I had some sauerkraut, but alas... no.

Dad & Sis had tourtiere with mushroom/onion/brown gravy. Steamed cauliflower, broccoli and carrots. (I think my mom would have been proud that I could make a meat pie like that. It was tasty. The chef has to taste, you know.)
