What's for Dinner, Sat., Feb. 8, 2020

Garlic shrimp takeout from our favorite Portuguese restaurant. Comes with mashed potatoes and vegetables like carrots, green beans, Brussels sprouts, etc. The RG is flying in from Dublin and stopping to pick it up on the way home. Hope he remembers the dessert--orange cake!

Italian green beans on the side,
hot decafe tea.

2. Dinner with friends...

I think they are serving Italian. It’s going to be a large crowd.

3. Vegetarian Lasagna , Tossed Salad and these bake at home

rolls from Aldi’s 🙂.

Salad and kombucha.

Adding sautéed kale with a few turnips thrown in, along with the leftover corn cakes.

6. Hmm......easy breezy tonight

Grilled provolone, tomato, avocado and red onion sandwich on maple/oatmeal bread, spinach salad and lemon tea.

Hope you get your orange cake.

8. Lasagna, garlic bread, salad

5 year old grandson staying over. Said he’d eat all those things. He’s not a picky eater. Waffles and bacon for a late breakfast after church tomorrow.

10. Dinner at a high-end NYC seafood restaurant

Dinner tonight was with a professional colleague of mine and our mutual spouses. It's my business and it's my expense account so we went to a remarkable restaurant and ate well.

The four entrees were:

Shellfish Cioppino (a stew of shellfish)
Grilled Swordfish
Broiled New York Strip Steak
Seared yellowfin tuna puttanesca

Dessert was composed of four glasses of Port and a large slice of Death-By-Chocolate cake.

Sometimes, life is good.
