Salad: Boston lettuce, mangoes, a little sliced iceberg for crispness, cherry tomatoes. The RG made his own dressing; it was kind of like vinaigrette but has citrus added to it.
Tortellini, both spinach and cheese, in cream sauce.
Tiny pork cubes seasoned with a variation on the jerk seasoning he mixed up yesterday. Very crispy!
Dessert: Swiss almond vanilla ice cream with pistachio thins.

(16,688 posts)Had a weird day and spent most of my time at car repair so it's pasta, asparagus and fresh bread. It's warm and humid here so my bread is looking good (at least!)

Small plate of cheese ravioli with a light tomato sauce
Veal scallopini with a brown sauce and capers.
90% Cocoa chocolate and red wine for dessert.

Re the seafood meal, though, I shuddered at the thought of the tab. I occasionally see such receipts lying around here when the RG does his expense reports and am aghast!

(24,889 posts)As I wrote, however, this was a business dinner and it was covered by my expense account. Sometimes I'm lucky but always grateful.
The port we had for dessert was Portuguese and cost $15 a glass! You can probably guesstimate the rest.
I do enjoy this Group, NJCher, and thanks for keeping it active. Here's another heart!
