(24,644 posts)1. Someone gifted me a bottle of Maggi brand tamarind concentrate.
Its quite good. It adds just a little something to soups, dressings and sauces. I wish I Could tell you how much sodium is in it, but I cant because the label isnt in English. It does appear that Nestle is the parent company of this brand.

Bright yellow label with red print.

(53,555 posts)3. I buy something called "deSiam Tamarind Stir-Fry Paste."
It comes in little boxes with 2 plastic packets in each. Since I don't use it all that often I like that it's separately packaged. I got a great deal on-line when our local natural foods store discontinued it. Wish I could remember where I bought it. Either ebay or Amazon I imagine. It was in bulk so I've now got enough for a couple of years. LOL.
