Fresh pasta with creamy white bolognese.
Very colorful salad with the middle of a wedge of iceburg hollowed out and stuffed with one of the RG's creamy Irish cheeses. Over this are red and yellow peppers, carrots, radishes, you name it. If it has color, it is on that salad.
For dessert, the RG made fresh bread pudding and flavored it with banana. He used Brioche rolls to make it.

(39,590 posts)I started the meatloaf with a mix of finely diced aromatics (onion, carrot, bell pepper, spinach, garlic, and rosemary) sautéed in olive oil with a touch of tomato paste. To that I added an egg, some bread crumbs, parsley and a bit of water, and of course the ground beef. I formed the loaf free-standing so that I get that yummy crust all around it. And I stuffed the whole thing w/ provolone cheese (I haven't told Al about that part yet).
We'll have mac & cheese and buttered beets to go with it.
I think there's a package of cookies in the larder if we want dessert.

(4,441 posts)Well, beans with something else, as yet undecided. I made a pot of small white beans and smoked ham shank a couple of nights ago and we're still eating the leftovers. It's better than it sounds-- I cook good, savory bean pots. There's some chard in the refrigerator that needs to be cooked so it's beans, greens, and some sort of dead animal meat, most likely.

(2,012 posts)What fun! I didn't realize you have to order online or phone and pick it up (so that workers never touch the pizza after it gets out of the oven). Since I was already there and there was a bunch of pizzas waiting for pickup I asked if I could order from my phone. They said yes but I had to stand 6 feet from them. I had lots of problems (as I often do on the phone) so the "Manager" finally let me go around all the pizzas and stand in a marked off box while I read him the numbers on my Visa card (they won't take cash). I was pretty hungry by that time so I sang That's Amore all the way home and it tasted pretty good after I got my mask off.
