Chicken breasts in hazelnut cream sauce.
Tarragon roasted carrot salad. The carrots are tossed in tarragon and olive oil; then roasted to the point of caramelizing. They go over tossed greens with Persian cukes. The salad dressing is cream-based and has chopped tarragon in it.
Dessert: bananas, vanilla yogurt, toasted cashews, golden raisins, and dried cranberries. I made ginger tea but this time I put fresh lemon balm from my garden in it. I like it; adds a slightly different flavor.
Scrounging in the freezer I found breast of roast chicken and stock.
Shortly after this discovery a chicken lentil soup with celery, onion, and garlic was simmering.
Not sure what else ... there are some clementines and grapes as well as some stewed apples that need eating.

FLFC, who is asleep now, will get a buffet of cheese burger chunks, dog foods, and perhaps some of a left over hot dog.

(17,434 posts)At under five pounds he is lighter than most cats. We are his third and forever home. He had tons of issues, but he's chilled out a lot.

(1,477 posts)A local city park opened up yesterday, so a small group of friends and I met today for the first time since late February. We each brought our own food and drinks and had a late lunch/early dinner. It was easy to keep social distance while having a good time together.

frozen but tasted very fresh and was delicious. I used a mayo, chive and Old Bay ...salt and pepper also. on top of fish. Didn't defrost it. I made a huge salad and homemade dairy free Ranch to go with it. I made homemade croutons also. For dessert I made Banana Bread. I made a Latte with double shots to go with the banana bread.

(10,429 posts)I used the basic ground beef & potato casserole recipe I got from the TV, and added a can of Rotel, some extra serano garlic & onion, as well as some cumin and oregano. Turned out pretty good

We did our monthly grocery shop late this afternoon, after getting everything home, wiping everything down and putting everything away, it was too much to even think about cooking.
There's butter pecan ice cream if we go looking for dessert.

(35,662 posts)Is that I only wash the items that need to be refrigerated and the ones I'll be using soon.
I leave the rest in the car or my garden shed for enough time for the virus to die.
It is so much work--shopping, cooking, and this new job of washing everything makes it an exhausting experience.
